I would suggest to add up Fr. Rudy Villanueva of Cebu City. A great cebuano composer and arranger. He spent his lifetime until now composing liturgical and contempory music. He had made hundreds of songs ranging from hymns, choral,liturgical and symphonic pieces including contemporary songs. He authored the songbooks Handumanan 1, 2, & 3, Festival 1,2 &3, Salterio Cebuano, Cancionero Cebuano 1 & 2. If you want to have more info regarding the composer just make an inquiry at the San Carlos Seminary College, Mabolo, Cebu City. Thanks and God bless.!!

At the moment I am researching on filipino artists involved in late night shows. I am having trouble finding out who the pianist was in martin nievera's late night show. However she is trying her best to hone her gift at the piano, and just this Friday 26th November, she bagged the First Prize in the National Music Competition for Young Artists, Piano Category A-2. I am an Overseas Filipino Worker here in Korea. I write songs, I sing as well, but cannot play any music instruments. I wanted to contact any Filipino arranger or anyone in music industry who would be interested in my songs. I have the melody . I can sing them in accapella. when I write them i sing them at the same time. I wanted to be a profesional song writer or colaborate with anyone who are interested. I beleive this OPM site will help me to fulfill my dream.

10.28.2004 - Hi. I would like to find out who the composer of our High School graduation song (1986). I am not sure of the title, but the first few lines are: "Only you my friend can my life feel so complete. It seems like a song has symphony and melodies so sweet." We have been trying to research on who it was that wrote the song and we are guessing that it could be an OPM. Thanks for your help.

How does an artist go about updating membership, especially those who are abroad? Also, there used to be a time when artist managers were allowed honorary membership. Is that still allowed?

Lastly, there was a posting on your "Most Recent Comments" section (on 10/28/03) by a Lu-Ming Ooi requesting information on Jacqui Magno and Butch Dans. We are acquainted with Ms. Ooi who used to and may still be a Singapore resident and would like very much to connect with her. How do we accomplish that?

On the otherhand I would also like to know your opinion regarding the popularity of novelty songs.Do you think it is something worth listening? I'm just wondering because a lot of people I know says that their lyrics contain obscene or let's say they have double meanings which is not really a good especially to the youngd kids.
